Caprice Bricks
Caprice produce their soft mud bricks from river clay mined from the Rhine, Waal, Ijssel and Meuse. These unique clays produce their distinctive grey-red, bright red, bronze and yellow coloured bricks whilst clays from Eifel and Westerfeld are also used to complete their colour range.
The bricks are shaped using a ‘De Boer’ 17 tray moulding belt. Clay and sand is placed into the moulds and pressed to form their shape. These raw bricks are then made up into batches of 270,000 ready for firing.
